To all the gardener's out there...especially in the Hudson Valley. I ripped all the grass out of my little back yard. I put in a container garden on the left and eventually a little stream and fish pond on the right. Originally my plan was to plant a little bit of sod in the middle (17x17ft) but now with all the water restrictions in Newburgh, I'm rethinking it.
Instead, I think I want to put in two more garden beds surrounded by pea gravel with a little path through the center. Looking for for plants that are good for bees and pollinators. Ideally perennials. Something that doesn't need as much water. It gets full to part sun back there. Ideally something native. And maybe a couple that have interest in the winter. Might also mix in some edibles if they look nice.
Any beautiful plants or flowers that you love?
